Traveling Jurisprudence

Jurisprudence is defined in the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board Rules as the body of law applicable to the practice of physical therapy in Louisiana including the Practice Act and the rules promulgated by the board (Rule §123).  Attending a Live Jurisprudence Seminar will count for two (2) Administrative Continuing Education contact hours to be used in licensees biennial renewal requirements (Louisiana Physical Therapy Board Practice Act Rule §194).

To register for a Live Jurisprudence Seminar not on Zoom, email your name, license number, and desired Jurisprudence location to ceu@laptboard.org.  Your certificate will be emailed to you following the completion of the seminar.

 2022 Dates and Locations for Jurisprudence 


January 25, 2022

4:00pm - 6:00pm via Zoom

This meeting will be offered on Zoom. Registration is required. In order to receive credit for attendance, licensees must attend the full meeting and attendance will be verified post-meeting. For anyone who chooses to join by phone, please email ceu@laptboard.org to provide your name, license number, and the phone number you attended the meeting with. If you do not provide this information, credit cannot be given. Your certificate will be emailed to you following the completion of the meeting. Please allow up to 5 business days to receive your certificate.

If you cannot attend a live Jurisprudence, you may take the exam online and receive two (2) credit hours of continuing education.
